About Riki

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. That's why I like my photographs to speak for themselves. Allow me to introduce myself.

As a youngster, everywhere I went, I dragged along a camera. Whether it was of people --or places, I loved snapping pictures. My mom was a professional photographer, so I suppose I was gifted with those genes. I graduated Oman Photography Art College where I studied commercial photography with a special concentration on creative artwork, Though I turned professional only 4 years ago, my business has zoomed as swiftly as my clients can share their beloved photos with family and friends.

You might notice my advertisements feature portraits, but I’m especially skilled at capturing the mood and atmosphere of family events. My forte is discovering and expressing the best in children, families, and the innocence of a new born child.

You know there's something unique about each of your children, which makes our world just a little bit brighter. My pleasure is to find that zing, and watch it shine through my lens. That's the gift I'm delighted to bring to you.

Rather than continue running on about myself, here's where I'm going to ask you to take a peek at my photo galleries. Looking forward to meeting you, and your loved ones, at a sitting soon.

Warmest Regards,
Riki

Neat Pickin’s – It’s Strawberry Season

February 2nd, 2012

When strawberry season arrives, is there a better time for pigtails and frilly red ribbons? Nope. So I grabbed my girls and off we went to the farm.

You can see Shira took her strawberry picking seriously, concentrating on the fruit’s flavor.

Chana was satisfied on just inhaling. Carrying their own baskets were proud moments for them both.

While Shira stopped to count her score, Chana decided it was time to taste.

Chana sang through much of the session. Though she greatly admires her older sister, who projects ‘Star’ in our family, little Chana is definitely a singular child with her own mind.

It doesn’t matter if they’re picking strawberries, coloring at their table, or just walking into kindergarten, my heart overflows. I still can’t believe these are my very own daughters. Lucky, lucky me.

Passion For Life – Just For the Taking

January 31st, 2012

When photographing kids full of joy, the result is that mirror of joie de vie. Look at that boy…have you ever seen such an edible kid! You know he’s going to breakout and entertain ‘cause all the world is his stage. And his sister, little Miss Blue Beauty is not far behind.

Baby sister’s got a smile to grow into….though she’s not so sure when the kids chauffer her off to who knows where.

Our trendy little Miss rocks those stripes with just the right pink touches from head to toe. And Baby doll is head over heels with some accessories of her own.

We ended the session with the Prince & Princess’ favorite looks for Shabbos. I don’t know how I can call my job ‘work’ when I have so much fun capturing little spirits like these on film!

‘God is in the details’

December 31st, 2011

How can I describe this calm and gentle baby who brought such warmth to my studio? The happy parents circled around their child with awe and love. What can compare to a newborn? I never want to stop taking pictures of those first few days of life.

They say ‘God is in the details’. Well look at this little masterpiece. I hesitate writing because they say a picture is worth a thousand words. And that is so. Where are the words to fill in the soft details? Whether it’s the tiny nose, fine hands, or peaceful eye lashes, you have to see it to feel it. How do toes start so small?

I wish all parents realized how fleeting these moments are, how fast these early days pass. I’m so grateful to help parents preserve these priceless memories.

Faces Win The Day

December 25th, 2011

I wasn’t sure what was sweeter… the ice-cream and candy or the adorable faces that had it smeared all over them. Yes, you’re right. The faces won out!

What a pleasure to shoot these two brothers. Clean-up was a bit rough, but the resulting photos were well worth every swipe of the sponge. As you can see, even the tub bubbles merited shooting.

These two had no problem playing naturally in front of the camera. Their loving relationship shined through the entire session. Older brother took to the hat and tie like an experienced model.

Towards the end of the shoot, we put them in soft jammies for an interactive bedtime story. Yeap, that was a full day … for all of us.

LOVE- Family photo session

June 15th, 2011

What’s more attractive than the bond within a family! And LOVE is the knot that binds. I got to watch it, up close and huge, on this recent photo shoot in the Jerusalem hills.

The connection between 7 year old M and his parents is right out there, so it wasn’t difficult for my camera to track. On location at their Ramat Raziel home, surrounded by nature’s green bounty, I couldn’t believe the pure oxygen in my lungs. Maybe that what makes M such an active kid. I had to hustle around the property to keep up with him … digging, playing and of course, carousing with his mom and dad. Here’s a few favorite shots of this incredible day.

Oh, and lucky for my lens, one of M’s little friends showed up. Tell me he isn’t cute!

Pre-Party Plan… (Bat Mitzva Photography Israel)

May 29th, 2011

Adi’s family is gearing up for her Bat Mitzvoth and part of the pre-party plan is Photos By Riki! Surrounded by her loving sisters, baby brother, mom & dad, we were off to some of my favorite Israeli on-location spots.

Full of fun, the girls’ smiles were infectious. You can’t miss the affection between the girls. By the way, those guitars weren’t props. The girls entertained us while I shot away.

With clients like these I’m embarrassed to call my job ‘work’!

’til next time,

Riki
